Why Join?
If you a teacher, student, researcher, or otherwise enthusiast of music theory active in the Netherlands or Flanders, we greatly encourage you to become a member of the VvM. Similarly, if you are someone living outside of the Netherlands/Flanders but wish to support and/or take part in the activities of our society, we invite you to join. In addition to bringing together a tight network of colleagues and offering a springboard to our sister European societies, the VvM offers its members free access to all its events, which include regular conferences, study days, and guest lectures/workshops, including the yearly “Music Theorist in Residence” program. Members also receive a discount to Music Theory & Analysis. We especially seek to support student members and members in the early stages of their career, through special student workshops and symposium, and through financial support facilitated by the Mart. J. Lürsen prize. |
