Study days and Yearly business meeting
22th May 2019 On 22 May the VvM, together with the Royal Conservatory of The Hague, will host a study day on Baroque counterpoint and keyboard improvisation. Leading the sessions are two invited guests from the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis, Johannes Menke and Markus Schwenkreis. The study day will take place at the Nieuwe Badkapel in Scheveningen (Nieuwe Parklaan 90 / 2587 BV / Den Haag). At the end of the study day the VvM will have its annual business meeting. |

Why Join?
If you a teacher, student, researcher, or otherwise enthusiast of music theory active in the Netherlands or Flanders, we greatly encourage you to become a member of the VvM. Similarly, if you are someone living outside of the Netherlands/Flanders but wish to support and/or take part in the activities of our society, we invite you to join. In addition to bringing together a tight network of colleagues and offering a springboard to our sister European societies, the VvM offers its members free access to all its events, which include regular conferences, study days, and guest lectures/workshops, including the yearly “Music Theorist in Residence” program. Members also receive a discount to Music Theory & Analysis. We especially seek to support student members and members in the early stages of their career, through special student workshops and symposium, and through financial support facilitated by the Mart. J. Lürsen prize. |
